Welcome from the Chair
As Chair of the American Society of Acupuncturists (ASA) I am delighted to introduce you to this vibrant new organization!
The ASA represents a new stage of development in collaboration among groups working to promote the best of acupuncture and East Asian medicine in the United States. After years of preliminary, informal work together as the Council of State Associations, the ASA was born as a 501(c)6 not-for-profit entity that allows our member organizations to achieve a new level of collective performance.
The ASA currently has 34 member state associations representing over 5000 individual acupuncturists around the country. Our structure seeks to be inclusive from the bottom upwards, so that the voices of the individual acupuncturist ‘on the ground’ can be channeled towards collaborative effort. We share expertise, resources, experiences, and inspiration with one another.
We hope you will join us as a supporter, and encourage the best in practice, education, and regulation in the United States. Together we can change the face of American medicine, and join the world stage in the advancement of powerful and time-tested holistic, natural medical options.
